To celebrate the release of The Land, a new indie skater film produced by hip-hop legend Nas and written and directed by debut filmmaker Steven Caple Jr., IFC hosted a private premiere part at The Theatre at The Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

The film, which stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Moises Arias, Rafi Gavron, Ezri Walker and Erykah Badu, follows a group of young skateboarders as they try to make better lives for themselves in crime-riddled Cleveland, OH.
A passion project for Caple Jr, who grew up in Cleveland, the film’s soundtrack is just as beautiful and rugged as the film, featuring songs from Kanye West, Pusha T and the first ever collaboration between Nas and Badu for the film’s lead single, “The Bitter Land.”
The Land is in select theatres and available on demand now.
